We want to create a community of creative thinkers, actors, writers and directors. We want to connect acting classes with the development of new writing while fostering a connection to our rich dramatic history.

Meisner Classes

Book your place for Meisner classes on Wednesday evenings. Morgan will draw upon some of the ideas of Sanford Meisner to create thrilling classes in which actors can train their intuition and emotional receptivity to all that they encounter. The classes will move towards work on one’s own character and the character the actor may be playing. We will weave in classical acting technique and improvisation into the classes.

Writing Course with Oliver Bennett

Award-winning playwright and The Base Creates co-founder Oliver Bennett will be launching a 6 week writing course. A select group will meet for six sessions and explore together the art of playwrighting. They will study scene structure, character, plot and style, taking inspiration from classic and modern dramatists. Professional actors will be brought in and the course will culminate in an internal showing of our work-in-progress.
